Recsystem® FR Warranty
RECASENS offers a 5-year warranty from the date of installation, covering Recsystem® FR fabrics against decomposition and fading. This warranty applies exclusively to fabrics that are regularly maintained and used under normal environmental conditions.
At RECASENS’ discretion, they will either replace the defective fabric free of charge or reimburse the invoice value of the affected fabric section. This warranty does not cover any additional costs or compensation.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Improper maintenance or the use of unsuitable products or tools. The use of detergents, chemicals, solvents, scrapers, or any instruments that may harm the fiber surface is prohibited.
- Fabric aging and normal wear.
- Soiling caused by animals.
- Accidents, natural events, or repairs due to these causes.
- Faulty assembly or handling, chemical exposure, hanging objects on the fabric, impacts, road accidents, vandalism, burns (including cigarette burns), or fire.
- Lightning strikes or unusual climatic or environmental conditions.
- Costs related to mechanical parts (hardware, mechanisms, structures), manufacturing, assembly, or installation.
The warranty takes effect from the date of installation of awnings, curtains or any other product made with RECASENS canvases.
RECASENS canvases are a component of the final product. If you detect any defective fabric, please contact the installer or distributor from whom you purchased the product.
Maintenance for Recsystem® Canvases
The advanced Infinity Process finish equips RECASENS canvases with long-lasting protection against mold, along with excellent water and oil repellency. This ensures your awnings provide reliable protection from both sun and rain for many years.
However, the buildup of dust, airborne pollutants, organic debris, and dirt can impair this protection and shorten the fabric’s lifespan. Proper cleaning and maintenance are vital to preserve performance.
Routine Cleaning
- Clean the canvas monthly with a low-pressure hose to prevent dirt accumulation.
- Always ensure the fabric is completely dry before closing or storing the awning.
- The awning may remain open during rain, as rainwater helps wash away dirt. If rolling up while wet, unroll as soon as possible to allow thorough drying.
- During extended periods of rain, it is advisable to keep the awning rolled up.
Thorough Cleaning (Every 2–3 Years)
- Gently brush off loose dust and dirt using a soft brush; avoid stiff brushes to protect the fabric surface.
- Rinse the awning with clean water using a low-pressure hose only; high-pressure washing is not recommended.
- Prepare a solution of solvent-free soap mixed with warm water (not exceeding 40ºC) and apply to dissolve dirt and debris.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residues.
- Allow the awning to air dry completely in a wind-protected area.
Fungal Stain Removal
Although Recsystem fabrics resist fungal growth, fungi can develop on embedded dirt. To remove fungal stains:
- Brush off dirt gently with a soft brush.
- Prepare a cleaning solution with 10% household bleach, 20% solvent-free neutral detergent, and 70% water.
- Apply the solution to the fabric and leave for 15–20 minutes maximum.
- Rinse thoroughly several times with clean water to remove all bleach residues.
- Air dry the awning completely in a wind-protected area.
- Repeat if necessary.
Environmental Note
Please dispose of cleaning chemicals and wastewater responsibly to protect surrounding plants, animals, and ecosystems, as bleach and other substances may cause harm.
